Lee Ann (Roberts) Wilson

Coach

My greatest athletic achievement was making the finals for the National Twirling Competition at the St. Paul Winter Carnival, yes I competed at the same venue that the 2005 World Baton Twirling Championships were held.

In October 1977 while just beginning my Grade 12 year, I started the Camaros Baton Club. The club won the Novice Ontario Twirl Corps Championships that year and I knew coaching was for me.

I am a Level 3 coach, but I truly believe a well rounded coach must not only rely on reading manuals and writing tests, but also apply all the experience and background of being a parent and former athlete. Success comes from passion and focus on making every willing athlete the best they can be. And of course hiring the country's best choreographers and having great coaches on staff.

The Camaros have enjoyed many Grand National Group titles, Group Challenge Cup Winners and of course sending our first ever athlete to compete at the World Championships in Rome, my daughter Kyla.

My secret for over 45 years of coaching, I keep reminding myself I do have something to offer and value every smile I get when in the gym. I truly love working with all levels from Recreation to the Elite level, they are all challenges that that I thrive to achieve.

From there, Alyssa flew to Neuchatel, Switzerland in 2012, where her team earned a bronze medal with their routine, Gloria. Siobhan (Hall) Pearce

Music Editor

Siobhan (Hall) Pearce was born into the world of baton twirling. Her older sister Susan was twirling for the Scarborough Knights Baton Corps (which eventually became Revolutions Baton Corps) and so Siobhan was born with a baton in her hand. She started twirling at the age of 2 and was competing by the age of 3. Siobhan finished her baton twirling career with her sister's club, Defying Gravity Baton & Dance after twirling competitively for 20 years locally, provincially, nationally and internationally where she achieved many titles both in CBTF and CNBTA. She then became a coach, adjudicator and judge for 11 years afterwards. Siobhan is now a proud ‘Baton Auntie’ who cheers on her Goddaughters and friends at Camaros Baton Club.

Music has always been a huge part of Siobhan’s life and that has also always coincided with her love for baton. Music selection and editing have always been a passion of hers when she was competing herself and when she was working with her sister’s club. For the past few years, Siobhan has also been assisting with some of the music selection and most of the music editing for Camaros Baton Club routines. Her vast knowledge of different styles of music, mixed with her knowledge of what is needed for the various levels, ages and events in baton twirling makes for a perfect music editor for our baton club.
